This beautiful bungalow home developed from a single story, three bedroom, one bath residence to the five bedroom, two bath home seen here. With the changing of the entire front exposure, moving the front door, changing the main living room window, and adding of the fireplace, this standard track house became the showpiece of the neighborhood. Being situated on a corner lot the full elegance of the bungalow design takes your breath away.
Matching the elegance of this 100 year old home, this added Master Bathroom restroom was able to capture the feel of the turn of the century motif while caring for the physical restraints of the owners. This full wheelchair accessible shower allows elegance with dignity for the personal care of one with special needs.
The produced period shower for the physically challenged homeowner was constructed in a large and flowing format. The full width bench seat with low rail side wall gave stability and privacy. The floor was installed using vintage hexagon mosaic tiles for a period look and traction. The picture-framed wall tile brought a comfortable and soft feel to the entire restroom.
Rounding out this oversized vintage bathroom was the furniture piece used for the double granite sink. Included are the double personal closets and mirrored doors with a butler pantry service area between.
The new Master Bedroom matched the existing cottage home perfectly. With the stained fir base, doors and casing, and milled crown molding the outcome was impeccable. The two closet doors were installed with caned obscure glass for elegance and privacy. The Homeowners period piece king-size bed fit seamlessly.
Adapting this existing restroom once the addition had been constructed was a challenge. The medicine cabinet was custom created per the owner’s specifications and the two existing windows were converted to glassed cabinets for display of the owner’s antique grooming pieces.
This existing bedroom was upgraded and finished once the addition was added and attached to the residence. The west wall window was to be eliminated but with much care and design we were able to convert the opening to a display case for the owners historic signed baseball collection.
